(i) (x+3) (x+4) = 0
x+3 = 0 ⇒ x = - 3 x+4 = 0⇒ x = - 4
(ii) (2x-3) (x-1) = 0
2x-3 = 0 ⇒ 2x=3 ⇒ x = 3/2 x - 1 = 0 ⇒ x = 1
