Keith bought a / package with 2 9/16 pounds of ground meat to make hamburgers. He has 2/5 pound of ground meat left. About how many pounds of ground meat did he use for the hamburgers?

    He used 2 18/80 which in simplified form is 2 9/40. Your welcome.

    Sorry about no work but here it is.

    9/16 x 2/5 = 18/80 (Just multiply the numerator by the numerator and the denominator by the denominator) then you add the whole number which was two. 2 18/80

    Now just find out if you can simplify it.

    They can both be divided by two. So that is 18/80 divided by 2/2 = 9/40

    Just multiply the numerator by the numerator and the denominator by the denominator.
