A store sold 30 sweatshirts. White ones cost $10.95 and yellow ones cost $13.50. If $356.55 worth of sweatshirts were sold, how many of each were sold

    The store sold 19 white shirts and 11 yellow shirts.

    x+y=30

    10.95x+13.5y=356.55

    x=30-y

    Substitute x

    10.95 (30-y) + 13.5y=356.55

    x=19

    19+y=30

    Subtract 19

    y=11
