    You would start with multiple the () by 2 so everything turns into

    7+6x+8=2x+9 than u put 2x on the other side by using the opposite sign so - 2x on both sides looks like this

    7+4x+8=9 than u want to put all the other numbers on the other side by using the opposite sign so minus 7 and 8 and put it on the other side so should look like this 4x=-6 than divide both sides so the answer should be x = - 1/3
