Suppose you are getting new inground pool at your house. The pool is going to be a rectangle that is 30 feet by 15 feet. The outside border of the deck around the pool will also be a rectangle, which is 44 feet by 28 feet. The deck is going to be covered by a new tile that has a special, non-slip surface. Each of the tiles is a square that is 6 inches on a side, and there is NO gap between any of the tiles when they are laid. How much will be spent on purchasing just the right number of tiles if they cost $3.47 each?
