Step 1:Put 2,332 the (dividend) in the brackets, (in the box)
The divisor is 27, so it's outside of the brackets or outside of the box
Step 2:What is 232 into 27, the reason I skipped 2 and 3 because there smaller than 27. 232 into 27 is 8 because it's closest to 232 which is 216 because 27*8 equals 216. 8 is now on top of the bracket and now you subtract 232-216 which is 16.
Step 3:Bring down 2, because 2 is the last number left.
Now we have to figure out what goes into 162
6 goes into 162 because 27*6=162
Step 4:Subtract 162-162=0
We stop because there's no more to go into unless it was a different number than 162 then we would of brung down the 0 because there's no more numbers after 2 and the number would of been a decimal but there's no more to go into.
6 down goes above the bracket next to 8 now we have an answer of 86.
So the quotient/answer=86
