It's 1 1/3 because you need to make the denominators the same so your multiple the 2 and 3 in 2/3 by 2 to get 4/6. Then you add the numerators 5+4 which equals 9. Then you have 9/6 which turns into 1 3/6 but 3/6 can be simplified to 1/3 which gives you 1 1/3. So that is the answer
