Are the equations - 2 = 10 and - 5x=25 equivalent? explain

    No because the equation - 2=10 has no solutions. But in - 5x=25, x=-5, (do - 5x-5 to get 25) making the equation 25=25. therefore, - 5x=25 has many solutions. And the equations are not equivalent.
