John reads an equal number of pages of a book every week. The graph below shows the number of pages of the book left to read, y, after x weeks

This will be a decreasing straight line graph as the pages left to read will decrease as the weeks roll on till he has finished his few pages each day. The graph explains x when it is week 1 y will then show a larger value all from left top to right bottom.
