    Volume V = πr²h

    Volume V = base * height

    Step-by-step explanation:

Volume is the capacity of an object which is obtained by multiplying area with height. Volume of a cylinder is generally calculated by two formulas.

Volume of a cylinder V = πr²h Where r is the radius and h is the height

    Volume of a cylinder V = base * height

If we analyse the two formula keeping in mind that the base of the cylinder is circular. The area of a circle is given by πr². In this first formula we can find the area of the base by applying the formula of the circular region. Volume is measured by multiplying length, breadth and height, or area with height. In both the formulas given above we find the area and then multiply with the height.
