    12 pillows

    Step-by-step explanation:

    1/4 yard of fabric for 1 pillow

    3 yards of fabric for x pillows

    so,

    writing it in algebraic form,

    1/4 = 1

    3 = x

    using cross multiplication

    (1/4) * x=3*1

    x=3*1*4

    x=12

    therefore,

    3 yards of fabric will be used to make 12 pillows.
