In a class of 26 student, 15 of them like maths, 13 of them like english and 9 of them don't like maths or english.

Find the probability that a student chosen at random like english but not maths.

    Number of students that like English but not Maths = Number of Students that like English - Number of students that like English and Maths

    = 13 - 11 = 2

    Therefore, probability that a student chosen at random like English but not Maths.

    Probability = Number of events : Number of possible outcomes

    Number of events = Number of students that like English but not Maths = 2

    Number of Possible outcomes = Total number of students = 26
