If a building is 120 feet tall and is viewed from a spot on the ground 70 feet away from the base of the building, what is the slope of a line from the spot on the ground to the top of the building?

    Slope is the change in Y over the change in x.

    X is the horizontal distance which would be written. As (70,0)

    Y is the vertical distance which would be written As (0,120)

    Slope = 120/70 = 12/7
