Yolanda buys two types of flowers. She buys 48 geraniums and 64 marigolds. She wants to plant an equal number of flowers in each row of her garden. Each row will contain only one type of flower.

a. If Yolanda uses all the plants she bought in her garden, determine the greatest number of flowers that could be in each row of the garden.

b. How many rows of each type of flower will be planted in Yolanda's garden?

    Part A

    The greatest number of flowers that can be placed in a row is 12.

    Part B

    There is going to be a total of 3 rows of geraniums and 5 rows of marigolds. You divide the 48 geranium flowers by the number of flowers in each row which is 12 and you get 3, do the same for marigolds and you get 5.
