A bag contains green marbles and red marbles, 36 in total. The number of green marbles is 1 more than 4 times the number of red marbles. How many green marbles are there?

    Let red marbles be X

    Then green marble is 4X + 1

    And 4X + 1 + X = 36

    5X = 36 - 1

    5X = 35

    X = 35/5 = 7
