How do you find a average out of a set of numbers?

Add the numbers together. But put the numbers from smallest to largest first. Then divide by how many numbers there are.

Example : 2,3,8,5,7

2,3,5,7,8

Add : 2+3+5+7+8 = 5+12+8 = 17+8 = 25

Then divide by 5 since there are five numbers altogether. 25/5 = 5
