You have to use distributive property.
5 (2g + 3)
~ 5 x 2g = 10g
~ 5 x 3 = 15
~ Answer : 10g + 15
* you can't add unlike terms alike*
so you simplified expression is 10g + 15.

To simplify this, we use distributive property.
5 * 2g = 10g
3 * 5 = 15
Answer: 10g + 15
