    18=3 (2x-6)

    Multiply the bracket by 3

    18=3 (2x) (3) (-6)

    18=6x-18

    Move - 18 to the other side. Sign changes from - 18 to + 18.

    18+18=6x-18+18

    18+18=6x

    36=6x

    Divide by 6 for both sides.

    36/6=6x/6

    x=6

    Answer: x=6
