3/5 as a percentage is 60%. To find a fraction as a percentage, turn the denominator to 100 by multiplying by 1 (1/1, 2/2, etc). In this case, we multiply 3/5 by 20/20 (equivalent to 1) since 5 * 20 is 100. Next, the new fraction is 60/100 since 3 * 20 is 60 and 5 * 20 is 100. Any fraction with a denominator of 100 can easily be turned into a percentage, just take the numerator as the percentage. Therefore, 3/5 is 60% as a percentage.
