    Step-by-step explanation:

    Video store A charges 7$ to rent a movie for one week. Only members can rent from the store since membership is free.

    To rent x number movies from store A, the cost would be 7 * x = $7x

    Video store B charges only 4$ to rent a movie for one week. Only members can rent from the store and membership is 78$ per year.

    To rent y number of movies at store B, the cost would be 4 * y + fixed membership fee of $78

    To find the number of movie rentals that will make the total amount spent at each store be the same,

    y will be equal to x and equate both equations

    7x = 4x + 78

    3x = 78

    x = 78/3
