    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let X = the number of days.

    For growth rate,

    y = X° * rate of growth, k

    Where,

    X° = initial amount of bacteria

    k = rate of growth per day

    Colby = 50 bacteria

    kc = 2^ (24/2 * X)

    y = 50 * 2^ (12X)

    Jaquan = 80 bacteria

    kj = 2^ (24/3 * X)

    y = 80 * 2^ (8X)
