Last year, Americans paid $2.00 per gallon of gas. This year, the price is $2.40 per gallon. What is the percent of change in the price of gas?

    So it's 2.40 subtract 2, which is 0.4

    then put it over 2, you get 0.4/2, which is equal to 0.2

    0.2 = 20% so it's 20% of increase
