The sum of the three numbers is 69. if the second number is equal to the first diminished by 8, and the third number is 5 times the first. what is the numbers? if x represents the first number, then which of the following equations could be used to solve the problem?

    A+b+c=69

    a=b+8

    b=a-8

    c=a/5

    a is 11 (3+8 = 11 which is a)

    b is 3 (11-8=3 which is b)

    c is 55. (11 x 5=55 which is c)
