    P = 2 (L + W)

    P = 56

    L = 2W - 5

    56 = 2 (2W - 5 + W)

    56 = 2 (3W - 5)

    56 = 6W - 10

    56 + 10 = 6W

    66 = 6W

    66/6 = W

    11 = W < = = = width is 11 inches

    L = 2W - 5

    L = 2 (11) - 5

    L = 22 - 5

    L = 17 < = = = length is 17 inches
