Elise has 23 gallons of gas in her car. She wants to drive 87 miles one way to her sister's house. Her car gets 19 miles per gallon. Will Elise have enough gas to go to her sister's house and back? Explain your answer.

    Elise will have enough gas to get to her sisters house and back. she will have 437 miles of gas before she goes.

    87+87=174 since she wants to know if she go there and back

    174 divided by 19 is 9.15

    it should take her 9.15 gallons there and back

    so yes she will have enough gas to go to her sisters house then back
