    3/2 (x+4/3) = 11

    distribute the 3/2

    3/2x + 12/6 = 11

    3/2x + 2 = 11

    subtract the 2

    3/2x = 9

    multiply both sides by 2

    3x = 18

    divide by 3

    x = 6
