Martin sorted the bolts in his toolbox by size. they measured 3/8inch, 1/2inch, 5/8 inch, 7/8 inch, and 1/4 inch. what is the difference in length between the longest bolt and shortest bolt?

    The longest bolt from Martin's toolbox is 7/8 inch and the shortest bolt is 1/4 inch.

    Taking the difference between these two

    Difference = 7/8 inch-1/4 inch

    = (7-4) / 8 inch

    =3/8 inch

    The difference between the longest bolt from the shortest bolt in Martin's toolbox is 3/8 inch
