Which equation results from taking the square root of both sides of (x + 9) 2 = 25?

x + 3 = ±5

    Remember to take positive and negative root because

    (x) ² = (-x) ²

    likewise

    (5) ² = (-5) ²=25

    sqrt both sides

    x+9=+/-5
