If john is multiplying two factors each one decimal place he says that the product should also have only one decimal place

    He's wrong because when you are done multiplying you take how ever many numbers is behind the decimal and move that many places up. for example 2.3 x 4.5 is 966 untill you move your decimal to get 9.66
