    The value of y is 4.4

    2 (2.4) - 3y = 18

    2 (2.4) is 4.8 - 3y=18

    subtract 4.8 from 18 u have

    3y = - 13.2 make the 13.2 Into a positive

    13.2 / 3 is 4.4
