At a track meet, Samma finished the 200-meter race in 25.98 seconds. Tom finished the 100-meter race in 12.54 seconds. Which runner ran at a faster average rate?

    They have the same time average because if tom ran the 200 mile race he would have double his time on the 100 meter race. 12.54 x 2 = 25.98 seconds, so they have the same average rate.
