A vet measured the mass of two birds. The mass of the Robin was 74.77 grams. The mass of the Blue Jay was 84.28 grams. The estimated difference in massessment of two birds is __ grams

    What I would do is find the two numbers (74.77g and 84.28g) and subtract them, (remember, the highest number goes on top) 84.28-74.77 = 9.51g. So, the difference between the two birds is 9.51g.
