    First, we'll set up a proportion to see how much money Jill got:

    2/2.5 = x/1024; 2.5x = 2048; x = $819.20.

    To find how much the prize is worth, we'll just add Jack and Jill's shares: $1024 + $819.20 = $1,843.20.

    2/2.5=x/1024

    2.5x=2048

    x=819.2

    1024+819.2=1843.2

    The prize money was worth $1,843.20
