If you have a table that's shows a linear relationship, when can you read the value for b, in y=mx b, directly from the table without drawing a graph or doing any calculations? Explain.

    B is the y intercept

    this means when the line crosses the y axis

    the only time this happens is when x=0

    so find the ordered pair on the graph that is x=0 and y=b or (0, b)
