An object that weighs 1 pound on Earth weighs only 0.17 pound on the moon. Zach's dog weighs 17.5 pounds on Earth. How much more does his dog weigh on Earth than on the moon?

    The easiest way to figure this out is by a change in the weight, a comparison or ratio per se. So we know that one pound is equal to. 17 on the moon. Now all you have to do is divide your total number (17.5) by your ratio number (.17). That should be equal to your answer, 2.975.
