How do you find the quadratic equation for - 3 and - 17?

    I'm assuming those are the x-intercepts. You would solve it backward. First, you put it back into an equation. (x+3) (x+17) then Multiply those out to x^2+17x+3x+51 combine like terms and finally have X^2+20X+51
