Find the x - and y-intercept of the line. 5x - 4y = 40

    This is a very simple problem if you solve it using the intercepts method. The x intercept=8 and the y intercept = - 10

    I figured this out by first covering up the - 4y and seeing what x could be to make 40. The answer being 8. Then I covered up 5x and decided that - 10 would give me 40 from - 10.
