Write an inequality to describe the relationship between - 1 2/3 & - 1/4

    -1 2/3 = - (1+2/3) = - (3+2) / 3=-5/3

    Now we have to compare the two numbers.

    -5/3 and - 1/4

    least common multiple=12

    -5/3 = - (5*4) / 12=-20/12

    -1/4 = - (-1*3) / 12=-3/12

    Then - 20/12<-3/12

    therefore:

    -1 2/3<-1/4
