in where 8 is the base number and 3 is the exponent.
To get the answer, simply multiply the base number as many times as the exponent says.
Since the exponent is 3 and base is 8, we need to multiply 8 three times.
=> 8 x 8 x 8
=> 512
Thus, the value of the given equation 83 is equals to 512
to check if our answer is correct, simply divide 512 by 8 twice.
=> 512 / 8
=> 62 / 8
=> 8
