Hi, just remember this: Same signs add and different signs subtract. Eg: - 4+-4 the plus and minus next to each other are different signs so they change into a subtract sign. So it becomes: - 4-4 which is easily - 8! Always do this when different signs are next to each other to make it easier and it works!

The sum is also negative.
