The mass of a container is 5.81 kilograms when completely filled with sugar. The mass of the container is 3.8 kilograms when 3/8 of sugar is removed. What is the mass of the empty container?

    If 3/8 of sugar removed then 5.81-3.8=2.01 kilograms is the mass of 5/8 of sugar. So mass of the whole sugar is 3.216 kilograms (divide 2.01 by 5 and multiply with 8) 5.81-3.216=2.594 kilograms is the mass of container
