A recipe calls for 3/4 cups of white flour, and 1 1/8 cups of wheat flour. How much flour does the recipe need altogether?

    First, we have to get the fractions to common denominators.

    3/4 = 6/8

    Now, you can just add the fractions together.

    1 1/8 + 6/8 = 1 7/8 cups of flour.
