    The red line is f (x) + 5 = x

    The blue line is f (x) = x

    You will notice that the red line is 5 units below the blue line. So the answer is B.

    You could look at this another way

    f (x) = x - 5 when 5 is subtracted from both sides.

    Notice the minus sign. It means that the line has been shifted down.

    Slope has nothing to do with it. C and D are both incorrect for that reason.
