    1st step (find the mean):

    Mean: 10 + 7 + 13 + 10 + 8 = 48/5 = 9.6

    Mean: 9.6

2nd step (Subtract the mean ((9.6)) in the following given data set)

    9.6 - 10 = 0.4

    9.6 - 7 = 2.6

    9.6 - 13 = 3.4

    9.6 - 10 = 0.4

    9.6 - 8 = 1.6

3rd step (Now we have to add up all the difference's ((the numbers that are in bold))

    0.4 + 2.6 + 3.4 + 0.4 + 1.6 = 8.4/5 = 1.68

So our final answer would be 1.68 (M. A. D) Mean Absolute Deviation = 1.68
