Why can't we take the square root of a negative number? Provide Example.

Zero has one square root which is 0. Negative numbers don't have real square roots since a square is either positive or 0.

because its irrational if you have a negative sqaure root you would have to turn it positive by turning it to a fraction or if it's already in a fraction the you have to switch the side it's on and you could change the negative if it's a whole number that you should make it a fraction by putting a 1 under it
