A map uses a scale of 1 in:25mi. If the distance between two cities on the map is 3.5 inches, what is the actual distance between the cities?

    The actual distance is 87.5mi

    The distance is 87.5 miles. You just do 3.5 times 25 miles to come up with a product of 87.5 miles.
