A person-hour is a unit of measure representing one person working for one hour. A construction foreman estimates that it will take 2880 person-hours to build a new library. If 12 workers are scheduled to work on the project at the same time how many hours will it take to complete the project?

    We need 2880 person-hours and we have 12 people.

    When we divide the work between them: 2880/12 = 240 hours required to complete.
