At last year's company picnic, 25 pounds of ground beef were needed to make 100 hamburgers. How many pounds of ground beef will be needed this year if 120 hamburgers are to be made?

    First you need to figure out how much ground beef was used for each burger. To do this, you divide 25 by 100. You then get 0.25

    So each burger uses. 25 or 1/4 of the ground beef.

    Now you need to multiply 120 by 0.25 to get the new amount needed to make the burgers. 120 x. 25 = 30.

    So 30 Ibs of ground beef will be needed.
