If an odd number of minus signs are involved in a product or quotient, the sign of the result is negative. Otherwise, it is positive.

Examples:

(-1) (-1) = 1

(-1) (-1) (-1) = - 1

(-1) / (-1) = 1

(-1) (-1) / (-1) = - 1
