Answer - So the trapezoid is a quadrilateral because it has four sides. A rectangle can also be termed as trapezoid as its one pair of opposite is parallel and equal. On the other hand a trapezoid may not have all its internal four angles as right angles but a rectangle must have all its angles as right angles.
